Dear Mr. Putin

Hello Putin,

My name is Kei, an ordinary Japanese. Let me tell you one thing:

Russia, former Soviet Union, used to be in a big tension around 1960's, that is Cuba Crisis.

At that time everyone in the global community feared the world would end, but

Actually Soviet acted as adult, such that people avoided the worst case scenario (nuclear war).

In my opinion how Russia acted in the former cold war was really adult (much more than U.S), and honourable.

Japan used to fight against the United States, and we went too far and we got two nuclear weapons bombed, innocent civilians has been dead, it even suffers the offsprings in Hiroshima (I know several women who got genetic issue and lost their hair or serious health issues, even though they are grand daughter of the victim).

We all know war brings so many atrocities and it curses the later generations.

Violence brings violence, and it harms any countries who are involved in it, and we don't want you to be part of that evils.

I know your concerns, and according to RT you acclaim Ukraine could have nuclear weapon, which sound like the propaganda United States used against Iran, which is cynical.

It completely makes sense you are not okay with Ukraine trying to be part of NATO, but please also make sure that the diplomacy and patient negotiation is the only acceptable way to handle things, if not, you can be same as Japan in 1930's.

We all don't want war, always the victims are sinless kids and women.

Please do not escalate, and please do not go too far.

Hope Russia is going to be much more prosperous and rich country in the near future.

Thanks,

Kei
